The Kindersley Sr. Klippers and Kenaston Blizzards hooked up in one of the best senior hockey games of the season Tuesday night.

Kindersley built leads of 3-1 and 4-2 but could not hold the lead thanks to two quick Kenaston goals late in the second period just 13 seconds apart, as Logan McVeigh and Jordan Tkatch got the Blizzards on even terms. The Klippers goals were scored by Byron Ismond, Jon Calkins, Lane Gilliss and absolute beauty by Kyle Donaldson.

The hero of the night was Kenaston's Levi Cable, who went upstairs on Logan Drackett on a 2-on-1 rush in double overtime, to give the Blizzards a huge 5-4 overtime win and force a decisive game three in Kindersley Wednesday.

WestCentralOnline's Chris Omness talked to Cable after the game, with the full interview at the bottom of the page.

The teams will have a quick turnaround and play at the WCEC Wednesday, with puck drop set for 8:30 pm.
