Going a perfect 4 for 4 to win the most attended Canadian Finals ever, Daylon Swearingen of Piffard, New York completed a come from behind surge to rise from number 4 to number 1 in the national standings, and was crowned the 2019 PBR Canada Champion in Saskatoon on the weekend. Dakota Buttar from Kindersley swept both rounds of the first night of competition and leapfrogged Maple Creek’s Jared Parsonage to number 1 in the standings after day 1. Buttar entered the final event of the Canadian bull riding season just 32.49 points behind Parsonage and was propelled to number 1 in the national standings after the first night with a 2 for 2 performance first by topping Mish Mash for 86 points and then Finning Young Trent for 87.5 points to finish perfect on the night.

Buttar now sits number 2 in Canada after the 2019 PBR Monster Energy Canadian Finals in Saskatoon where he finished 5th in the event. He sits over 400 points behind Swearingen and over 500 points ahead of 3rd place Parsonage.
