Joseph David Caissie appeared at provincial court for his first hearing this morning in Saskatoon.

Caissie was charged for first-degree murder and indignity to a human body on Tuesday for the death of Carol King in 2011.

During a short meeting, provincial court read his charges, and have forbidden him to contact a list of people expected to be witnesses in the case. Reports have stated when the Crown gave Caissie the restriction for contact, he simply replied with, "No problem."

Ron Piché, Caissie's defense lawyer, has announced him and his client are planning on pleading not guilty in this case.

Caissie's next hearing is scheduled for August 3rd, 2016 at provincial court.
