The Fertile Valley Baseball League is beginning to show signs of life as we continue through the spring. The seven team league recently revealed their schedule for the season, things set to get underway at the end of May.
Opening day will be May 28 with three games on the schedule. Though things could change, the defending champion Kindersley Stallions will be at home facing the Oyen Eagles on Berard Field, the Kindersley Klippers will be on Flanagan Field hosting the Rosetown Angels, and the Kindersley Cubs will be in Eatonia to take on the Wheat Kings. The next day May 29 the Kindersley Raiders will open their season as the road team against the Kindersley Klippers, all of those games starting at 7:00 PM.
The June schedule is jam-packed with another full slate to start the month, games going every Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, some games sprinkled in on the weekends. The league website does state the schedule is not final.
