Harvest remains behind schedule in Saskatchewan and Alberta but is ahead of normal in Manitoba.

Stuart McMillan, Weather and Crop Analyst with the Canadian Wheat Board, explained that harvest conditions are relatively mixed across the prairies right now. We are actually on par in terms of harvest progress for an average year when you look at it as a regional wide number.

Saskatchewan producers are just getting started, while about a fifth of Alberta winter wheen is combined. Over half of the winter wheat is off the ground in Manitoba.

McMillan added that yield prospects in some areas have increased slightly over the last few weeks.
