March Madness for SHSAA senior basketball teams is approaching. It's the last weekend for regular season tournaments, like the one in Kindersley featuring tons of local talent, as draws for the 2024 Conferences round are set to be announced on Monday.

Kindersley Composite School has two teams entered into their home senior boys basketball tournament, KCS A and KCS B. Rosetown, Biggar, Unity and LCBI are joining Delisle and Maple Creek to round out the eight teams in the tournament.

The action begins Friday afternoon at 2:30 PM with KCS A taking on Delisle. The full slate of games will continue from there as at 4:00 PM KCS B takes on Maple Creek, at 5:30 PM LCBI tips off against Rosetown, and then Biggar and Unity play the final game of the night at 7:00 PM.

Looking ahead to Saturday, the eight teams will be split into the consolation and championship brackets. The consolation bracket will kick-off the day at 8:30 AM, the other game being played at 10:00 AM. At 11:30 AM the gym will play host to the first game of the championship bracket, with the other semi-final set for 1:00 PM. 

Four more games will take place afterwards. On the consolation side, the semi-final losers will matchup at 2:45, before the Consolation Final at 4:00 PM. On the championship side, a bronze matchup is slated for 5:30 Saturday, before the Championship Final set for 7:00 PM.

Following this weekend, conferences draws will be available on the SHSAA website by the afternoon of March 4.
