West Central lacrosse fans will have another reason to attend Saskatchewan Rush games this season. Rosetown’s Kennedy Hannay will once again be hitting the field as part of the Rush Electric dance crew.

The former RCHS student, who started dancing at just three years old, was part of the organizations junior dance squad during her grade 12 high school year, and is set to begin her 2nd year as part of the Electric Crew.

“I’d never really danced in front of that many people before, coming from Rosetown, but I’m really glad I did it because I think that it kinda helped me get my foot in the door for this team,” shared Hannay.

Hannay, now in her 2nd year of education at the U of S, adds to her busy schedule with weekly practices and Rush home games. Home games call for morning practices, field rehearsals and high energy from the moment the doors open right up to the end of the night.

“It’s awesome to interact with the fans and help create that positive and fun experience,” said Hannay, who added, “The energy is just insane.”

Hannay, who also teaches dance to kids aged 6-12 year in Harris, said she loves all the attention from the little kids at the games and calls her experience with the dance crew an incredible opportunity.
