The Kindersley & District Plains Museum is getting ready for another special presentation of their Museum of Lights this December. The Museum has been decorated with all kinds of Christmas lights and other decorations over the past little while, and now it is ready to be shown off beginning this Friday.

Anna Polsfut with the Kindersley & District Plains Museum explains when the drive thru will be open to the public.

“Our dates for the Museum of Lights are Friday, December 3rd and Saturday, December 4th. Friday, December 10th and Saturday, December 11th, and Friday, December 17th and Saturday, December 18th, all from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM. That'll all be for drive thru.”

The Museum will also be holding a Facebook auction.

“We're also going to be doing a Facebook auction just on our Facebook page, Kindersley District Plains Museum, just a silent auction. The items will be posted with their picture and they'll be listed with a closing date, so you put your bids in the comments before that closing date, and whoever has highest bid will win those items. We have a couple of gift cards from local stores, as well as some candy and Christmas chocolates.  SaskPower has also given us a Roughrider jersey for the auction,” Polsfut said.

The auction begins on Friday, December 3, with a few items being posted each week. And be open for the week, and the Museum will coordinate pickup for the winners, Polsfut added.

Polsfut also thanked all the sponsors who helped make the event possible, which included Tarnes Electric SaskEnergy, Better Together Kindersley, and the Kindersley Jr. Klippers to name a few. You can also tune in to 107.9 and listen to Christmas music while on the drive through the Museum grounds thanks to Kindersley Social setting up a radio transmitter. Sponsors for the Facebook auction included La Belle Boutique, Pharmasave Kindersley, Swirl Café, and Kindersley Packers.

Polsfut added, “the Museum is excited for it, and it is definitely bigger and better than it was last year.”
