The number of active cases of COVID-19 in Saskatchewan continued to decline today, and despite the one sudden jump in cases last week, the daily case counts appear to be on the way down as well. There were also no new deaths reported by the Saskatchewan Health Authority today either. 

According to the latest data from the SHA, there are 19 new cases of the virus in the province today for a total of 49,279. There were also an additional 21 recoveries for a total of 48,309. This leaves 397 active cases of the virus in Saskatchewan. 

There are 57 people hospitalized due to the virus at the moment, with nine of those people requiring intensive care. The seven-day average of daily new cases is 43. 

Today's new cases are located in the following zones: Far North West, 3; Far North East, 2; North Central, 3; North East, 2; Saskatoon, 7; Regina, 1; and South East, 1. There were no cases with pending residence information, and no reassignments of cases.

Yesterday, the province processed 922 COVID-19 tests. There were also 5,458 doses of COVID-19 vaccine administered for a total of 1,304,646. This leaves 73 percent of the population over the age of 12 with one dose, while 55 percent of those over the age of 12 are now fully vaccinated.
