Volleyball action continued around the province this past weekend with Girls Regional Volleyball.
The SHSAA now sees their Provincial Championship brackets set for the girls side with Davidson being once team to advance following Regionals. Unfortunately Elrose, Kenaston, Plenty, LCBI, Kindersley, and Rosetown were all unable to advance.
Loreburn will be hosting Provincials using Loreburn and Davidson schools on the weekend (Nov. 19-20), while Davidson travels to Naicam.
The boys side recently finished up their conference play, and are headed into their regional round this weekend. Beechy was the only team to advance past the Conference weekend by finishing 2nd at their tournament.
Lance Morrison with west central athletics mentioned Biggar, Kindersley and Rosetown as teams that did not have to play during the Conference weekend due to the number of teams involved in the 3A division.
Those teams will take part in this weekend’s action that will be hosted in Unity, and as for 1A Beechy, they will be in Fox Valley. Good luck to all teams vying for a spot in provincials.
