It was an exciting matchup at the WCEC Monday night, as the U13 Kindersley Klippers hosted the Delisle Bruins in game two and round two of the provincial playoffs.

Things started off well for Kindersley as they took a 1-0 lead into the first intermission, but Delisle, who won game one handily 8-3, came out firing in the second with three goals to take a 3-1 lead thanks to penalty trouble by the Klippers.

Delisle's Lextyn Walkingbear was the hero for the Bruins, scoring a pair of goals in the second, including one on a breakaway which really took the wind of the Klippers sails.

Delisle held on to the two-goal thanks to smothering defense and sound goaltending from Liam King, as the final score was 5-2 Bruins.

The bright spot for the Klippers was the sensational goaltending of Rylan Hearn, who made some great saves to keep the game close.

Delisle will move onto face the winner of Muenster and Tisdale in the north final of U13 provincial B playoffs.

Kindersley can now focus on league playoffs, which begin Wednesday in Biggar at 6pm.

Game two back in Kindersley will be held this Saturday at 5:45 pm.
