The Unity Warriors high volleyball teams were busy this past weekend in the West Central area. First the junior A and B girls hosted their home tournament where the A girls had great success. The girls took home the bronze medal in a hard fought weekend of volleyball. The junior boys were busy as well as they headed up to North Battleford to John Paul II to play in their tournament. The boys ended the round robin in second position but lost the semi final to John Paul II. They then defeated Paradise Hill to place 3rd in the tournament. The boys will now be hosting conference playoffs on this Friday after school. The Grade 7 boys volleyball team was in action as well and came out on top. They hosted a tournament and won gold on last Friday night in Unity. The senior B girls team were in Kindersley on the weekend for a two day tournament. After placing 4th heading into the playoffs the girls played well, but ultimately fell short and lost to Leader. The senior A girls headed to Meadow Lake on the weekend and after finishing second in the pool they played 4 consecutive games without much rest and little time to eat. They fell in the semi finals in the consolation side to finish off their weekend.
