After finishing pool play at 3-1 they drew Hepburn in the quarterfinals and in a hard fought 3 set match they were unable to move on as they lost 2 sets to 1.

In 3A provincial championships from Tisdale, two teams from the West Central region were represented this past weekend. Rosetown Central High School and Unity Composite High School were the teams at the tournament this past weekend. The Unity boys were in pool A and started off against Saskatoon Christian on Friday. They fell 2 sets to 1 to open up their weekend. They were right back at it against Wadena at 3 pm and were unable to come up with the win losing 2 to 1 in 3 sets. They bounced back, though, with a 2 sets to none win over Kipling to finish the first day at 1-2. On Saturday they played host Tisdale and won 2 sets to 0 to finish the round robin at 2-2.

As for Rosetown they were unable to come up with a victory in pool B round robin play and had to face Unity in an all West Central match up in the quarterfinals on Saturday afternoon. The Unity boys came out on top with a 2 sets to 0 win. Unity moved on from there to the semi finals against Birch Hills. In a closely contested match that took all 3 sets to play, Unity lost 2-1 to be bumped down to the third place playoff. In that playoff they faced Saskatoon Christian once again and couldn’t quite get the job done, losing 2 sets to none to finish 4th in the province for the season.
