Girls Volleyball is starting to wind down in the province as regionals were being held with West Central teams in action. First the Plenty girls were in Saskatoon to play in the 2A west regionals. The girls were 1-1 after pool play after losing to LCBI and beating Saskatoon Christian. They made the playoffs and were up against MJ Cornerstone and lost in 3 sets to end their season. LCBI from Outlook came out on top in the region and will head to provincials next weekend.

In other 2A action the Macklin girls hosted regionals with McLurg from Wilkie joining them from the West Central region. Macklin won both games in pool play and moved on to the playoffs. The Sabres girls won against Ill La Cross two sets to none. They took that momentum to the gold medal game winning in straight sets 2-0 over Pierceland to move on to provincials. The McLurg girls from Wilkie won the 3rd place playoff over Ill La Cross 2-1 and will head to provincials with Macklin and LCBI from Outlook this weekend in Foam Lake. 

In 3A regionals two teams from the West Central region were in Dalmeny for regionals on the weekend. Rosetown was in one pool and lost both games in pool play to finish their season off. In the other pool Unity had better success with two wins in pool play over Maidstone and Onion Lake. Then in the playoffs the Unity Warriors beat Dalmeny in three sets in the semis and took home the gold against La Loche in 3 sets to head to provincials this weekend in Assiniboia.
