Around west-central Saskatchewan, female hockey players typically join on with Western Prairie Female Hockey. The program ices teams in both the 'A' and 'AA' levels.

From U11 to U18, Western Prairie Female Hockey iced nine teams across the SFHL this year. The program sees girls from all around the region playing under the same Western Prairie umbrella, but with the ability to play closer to home with such a wide area to pull players from.

  • Western Prairie Mohawks (U11)
  • Western Prairie Redwings (U11)
  • Western Prairie Aces (U11)
  • Western Prairie Wildcats (U13 'A')
  • Western Prairie Thunder (U13 'AA')
  • Western Prairie Redwings (U15 'A')
  • Western Prairie Thunder (U15 'A')
  • Western Prairie Thunder (U15 'AA')
  • Western Prairie Thunder (U18 'AA')

The Saskatchewan Female Hockey League always has great competition from top-to-bottom, and a Western Prairie team is usually in the mix. Following their SFHL careers, players can now look forward to potentially playing in the newly created U22 Saskatchewan Junior Female Hockey League.
