The 9-man West Central League high-school football schedule has been released and the Kindersley Kobras started practising this week.

The team starts the season on a bye, but have two big games the following week.

The Kobras first game of the season is against rivals John Paul II on Tuesday September 13th. KCS is looking for redemption in the home opener after two close losses to JPII last year.

Kindersley’s second game is against Delisle on Friday September 16th, and will have an added significance after their last meeting ended in a tie.

The team has many strong players returning from last year, but have mostly new faces on their defensive line.

West Central Online talked with coach Lehman about how the team is still looking to add to their coaching staff.
