Outlook Day Care is hoping to improve the Outdoor play facilities

The New Year is bringing new opportunities to the Outlook Day Care Centre.

Due to the overwhelming generosity displayed at last year's Annual Christmas gala -approximately 16,000 dollars was raised- Outlook Day Care Director, Ashley Morrison is excited to announce the Centre's playground is about to get spruced up.

Most of the funds are going to provide the children with more playground equipment.

The plans are going to incorporate a water feature where children can fine tune their sensory experience.

A jungle gym array of balancing beams is also in the works, among other things.

The coup de gras of the outdoor feature will be a makeshift hill with a play-tunnel culvert running through the middle for the use of both the children and daycare staff for fun and frolic.

Morrison says other community day cares already have the tunnel feature installed and are so far seeing excellent satisfaction from the children.

Outlook Day Care is currently planning another fundraiser in the upcoming Spring Season.

The organization usually hosts a St. Patrick's Day Ice Hockey Tournament, but due to a lack of ice time this year, organizers are excited to explore other options and get more creative.
