Highways are busier than normal in west central Saskatchewan with harvest underway.

The Ministry of Highways is reminding residents to watch out for farm equipment while driving.

“Harvest is a busy and important time for the agriculture community,” Highways and Infrastructure Minister David Marit said. “We want to keep Saskatchewan’s roadways safe for everyone, and remind motorists to watch for slower moving agricultural equipment, especially during harvest.”

Call 306-787-5307 to learn more about moving farm machinery.

Drivers are reminded to give farm equipment more time and space because the machinery typically moves slower and is much larger than a regular vehicle.

Before traveling, drivers can avoid delays by checking the Highway Hotline at www.saskatchewan.ca/highwayhotline
