The Kindersley Oldtimer Klippers have their marquee event taking place this weekend. The 37th Annual Western Canadian Oldtimers Baseball Championship is back beginning Friday, for three days July 12-14.

The eight team field will feature the Klippers, joined by the Saskatoon Joes, Provost Buds, and Spring Lake Masters in one pool. Regina, the Medicine Hat Jays, Battle River A's, and Red Deer Legends fill out the second pool.

Games will be played on both Berard Field and Flanagan Field. Things get underway Friday afternoon at 3:30 with Battle River taking on Red Deer. Saskatoon is playing Provost at 6:00 on Berard, while Medicine Hat and Regina get going shortly after at 6:30 on Flanagan.

Those three matchups will lead into the hometown Klippers facing the Spring Lake Masters in the the under-the-lights game on Friday night. The Klippers second game goes Saturday afternoon at 3:00 on Berard against Provost, and then round-robin play will end with another nightcap against the Saskatoon Joes at 8:00.

After each team finishes pool play, the action will get back underway Sunday morning at 10:00 AM on Berard with the third place game, the fourth place game will get going at 10:30 on Flanagan. The second place game will start on Berard at 12:30, and then the championship final at 3:00 to close out the weekend.
