It's going to be a busy weekend over at Kinetic Park.

The Young Ranchman's All Breeds Livestock show opened today and as Mary Kate Robertson, one of the show's organizers says that participants are coming from all over.

"We have 145 registered participants this weekend and they come all the way from northern Alberta down to the Coutts border to just south of Brandon, Manitoba, and of course from all over Saskatchewan."

Everything kicked off last night with the Public Speaking event which featured 46 participants from Pee Wee to Senior.

Today was the Judging Clinic and Competition, which was followed by the Show Team Judging Finals.

Robertson added that this is the 5th year for the event and what that means for the kids participating.

"Lots of these kids this will be their 5th year here and the friendship that they formed over the last 5 years, its such a great opportunity and us as planners we just get to meet these kids and watch them grow and we keep trying to offer them more education and exposure to stuff and it is just a great deal."

Saturday is the Showmanship and Grooming Events, The Little Ranchers Program and at 3 is the South West Classic Steer Show.

Sunday at 9 is the Breed Class Competition with the Supreme Champion Show and Awards Presentation at 4.
