It was a fun game last night between the girls and boys at the West Central Events Centre.

The U13 Western Prairie Thunder female AA hockey team took on Kindersley Minor Hockey's U13 provincial squad and came out with an 8-4 victory, outshooting their opponents 42-31 in the special exhibition game.

The game was livestreamed on the Western Prairie Thunder Facebook page, as after picking up two league wins on Sunday, they were able to double up their opposition in the neutral game played yesterday.

Jalaa Moore Jagow, Iralyn Calkins, and Charleigh Johnston are the team's three leading scorers so far this season, all with over 50 points in 18 games played. You may remember that Jalaa Moore Jagow in specific has been extra motivated, scoring goals with a purpose:

According to Athlete's Haven in Rosetown, their "Goals for Gaspers" sponsor this year has done so well that they are already donating over $500 to the Gasper Family Foundation with more likely in tow.

Moore Jagow will look to add to that total as the team is in Weyburn this weekend for a double-header against the Gold Wings, and then another game next weekend at home in Rosetown against Prince Albert will finish off the month of January.

After that the Thunder have five more games in February before playoffs, as they look to make a run in their inaugural season of SFHL AA play.
