The judge called it the worst case of animal neglect in the history of Saskatchewan.

Two men from Outlook have been found guilty of one charge of failing to provide proper care for their cattle.

The SPCA found 256 dead cattle on their farm in March of 2009. They had to remove another 288 cattle, who were still alive.

Both men are banned from owning any animals, other than cats and dogs, for 10 years. Their fines were nearly $6,000 each, the maximum allowed under Saskatchewan law.
