Every year, the Kindersley and District Music Festival welcomes over 300 music students to town for a two week event displaying the musical talents of each participant. This year the festival is expected to bring in the same amount of students participating, with some coming from Eatonia, Marengo and Dodsland.

With the large quantities of public attending and students participating, the annual festival is looking for some volunteers. President of the Kindersley and District Music Festival, Calla McLean  explained that there will be 22 different sessions, that need two volunteers per sitting.

"We need some volunteers to sit with the adjudicator, we call them the secretary. They just fill out the certificates, hand the adjudicator the music, get anything the adjudicator needs and then we need section coordinators, which basically makes sure all of the music is in order before it gets taken to the adjudicator. Just checking and making sure they are all there, looking after the money at the door, stuff like that."

The 10 day festival begins on March 7th with vocals, speech arts on March 8th, piano on March 8th to the 11th, percussion will be on March 14th and 15th and instrumental will be from March 15th to the 17th.
