Kindersley's Salvation Army rang in the new year on a good note, by bringing in over $15,000 through their annual Christmas Kettle Campaign. Throughout November and December of last year, kettles were placed in various locations throughout Kindersley; at Walmart and the West Central Events Center during Kindersley Klipper home games among other locations.

In total the Kettle Campaign was able to raise $15,614.80, all thanks to the generosity of locals from in and around Kindersley.

The Salvation Army gathers donations every year through the Kettle Campaign for people in the region who may be in emergency situations. The organization also helps send youth to summer camps, with this years funds going towards children's summer programs.

Along with the donations gathered from the Kettle Campaign, the Salvation Army also received over $4,000 in Christmas donations.

The Kettle Campaign donations gathered from the Kindersley region will contribute to the $1.5 million raised from the Saskatchewan and Manitoba campaigns. Throughout the country, each Kettle Campaign has raised over $22 million, which surpasses the yearly goal off $21 million.
