Are you like me? Are you an Oilers/Flames fan? Are you anticipating a long end to the month of May after a pair of Game 7's on the weekend?

Edmonton and Calgary matching up in the playoffs for the first time since 1991 has me feeling some type of way. And I was born in '99.

West Central Saskatchewan loves their hockey, and for the most part, the Oilers and Flames are the two teams that dominate fanfare for the region. Every Oilers fan has a relationship with a Flames fan that can get testy at times... but that's what makes the rivalry great.

Head Coach Darryl Sutter has Calgary built for the playoffs. The goaltending situation has to be in the Flames favour with a Vezina Trophy finalist, and the offense is looking to reset themselves after dominating the Dallas Stars for 7 games, but witnessing perhaps the most impressive goaltending performance in a recent series by Stars puck-stopper Jake Oettinger.

Edmonton on the other hand is hungry, with a pair of mega-stars pushing that narrative following a hard fought series against the Los Angeles Kings. They are a revamped team that got themselves over the first round hurdle much like their rivals in Calgary, and they should be primed and ready for another hard hitting series after going 7 games with the very gritty Kings.

Things will kick off on Wednesday from the Saddledome, and my heart is beating already. This series will be the end of me. I've waited long enough here to show my allegiance: Go Oilers
