In what turned out be a roller coaster week, Robyn Silvernagle and her new look team won the 2023 Viterra Scotties Sunday afternoon in Estevan. The third time was the charm in the final game, as they defeated Team Martin, a team that Silvernagle fell to twice earlier in the week.

After Martin got a single with hammer in the first end, Silvernagle scored two in the second and stole one in the third to go up 3-1 after three ends. Martin scored one in the fourth end before Silvernagle scored two in the fifth to extend her lead to 5-2 at the break. The two teams traded singles in the next three ends before Silvernagle pulled ahead with a deuce in the ninth end, and then ran Martin out of stones in the tenth to finish off their championship run.

This is the third time Robyn Silvernagle will be representing Saskatchewan at the Scotties Tournament of Hearts, as she did so in 2019 and 2020 as well.

The win was extra special for Robyn, as the resilience of her one year old Kolt was definitely on her mind, as she made her comeback winning at the provincial stage.

This is the first time with second Sherry Just, and third Kelly Schafer. Lead Kira Thevenot has been there with Silvernagle for all three wins.

The Scotties Tournament of Hearts will take place in Kamloops, BC from February 17 to 26.
