RCMP Report – February 28 to March 6, 2023

UNITY REPORTS

· RCMP received a report of an injured moose on the highway. Members attended and euthanized the animal.

· A 37-year-old male from Waterhen Lake First Nation was charged with Refusal to Comply with Demand, Obstruct Peace Officer, Operation While Prohibited, Uttering Threats and Fail to Comply with Probation Order during a traffic stop.

· Police received a Mental Health Act complaint. Members spoke to the subject of complaint.

· A 31-year-old male with no fixed address in Alberta, was charged with Dangerous Operation of Motor Vehicle, Flight from Peace Officer, Obstruct Peace Officer, Identity Fraud, and two counts of Fail to Comply with Release Order Condition during a traffic stop.

· RCMP received a Mental Health Act complaint. Members spoke to the subject of complaint.

· CN Police reported individuals trespassing on the railway tracks in a rural area near Senlac. Members were dealing with a priority call and were unable to attend.

· CN Police reported two deer injured after a collision with a train. The information was referred to Saskatchewan Environment Resource Management.

· A 49-year-old male from Unity was charged with Assault, Uttering Threats, Resist Peace Officer and two counts of Mischief after Members received a complaint of assault.

· There were also three traffic complaints, one false alarm and two false 911 calls.

WILKIE REPORTS

· RCMP received a report of disturbing the peace. Members spoke to the subject of complaint and issued a verbal warning.

· Police received a complaint of a stolen vehicle. The vehicle had been located by Onion Lake RCMP. This matter is still under investigation.

· RCMP recovered a vehicle in the ditch on Highway 14 south of Wilkie that had been reported stolen from Biggar. Biggar RCMP are still investigating the incident.

· Members acted as mediators in a dispute between a business owner and a customer.

· Police received a report of disturbing the peace. Members patrolled but could not locate the subject of complaint.

· RCMP received a complaint of a stolen vehicle in Wilkie. This matter is still under investigation.

· Police received a Mental Health Act complaint. Members spoke to the subject of complaint.

· Members are investigating a complaint of a stolen snowmobile.

· RCMP received a report of a hit and run causing damage to a vehicle. This matter is still under investigation.

· Police received a complaint of trespassing. The complainant contacted Members to state the individual had left the area and requested no further action be taken.

· There was also one false 911 call.

MACKLIN REPORT

· RCMP received a report of a single vehicle collision north of Macklin. This matter is still under investigation.

· Police received a report of lost identification documents. Reported for information purposes.

· Members are investigating a report of uttering threats.

· There was also one traffic complaint.
