The Saskatchewan Health Authority released its now monthly COVID-19 situation report earlier this week and it showed that cases have risen since the middle of August.

In their report from Aug. 14 to Sept. 10, it showed that 483 cases of COVID-19 were confirmed per week throughout that time frame.

That is an increase from their report which was 381 cases per week recorded from July 17 to Aug. 14.

COVID-19 hospitalizations also saw a slight increase as 594 were reported for that same time frame, and that equals 149 per week, which is a jump of 38 from the last report.

Test positivity rates for the province also were on the rise, up from 7.4 per cent in the previous report to 8.9 per cent.

Deaths due to COVID-19 went down in the last month. The report states that the number of reported deaths was down to 25.

Those in Saskatchewan that are eligible and have gotten at least three doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have gone up to 45.3 per cent.
