The number of new COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations across the province of Saskatchewan is continuing to rise.

There are 1,347 new cases being reported and with 1,187 recoveries the active case count is 11,642.

Nearly two-fifths (38.4%) of new cases are in the age category of 20 to 39.

The total amount of cases over the span of the pandemic also rose above 100,000 yesterday.

There are five new hospitalizations, with that number at 167 and no new deaths being reported.

13 residents are in ICUs: of those, eight are for COVID-19 – related illnesses, five are for incidental, COVID infections.

There is currently one person in hospital receiving inpatient care in the Central West zone. 

The new seven-day average is 1,208.

West central Saskatchewan is seeing a rise in numbers today as there are 45 new cases and 19 recoveries, making an active case count of 197.

Most of the new cases came in Central West subzone two, where 38 of the new 45 cases were found. 115 cases are in Central West subzone one, which includes Kindersley and Rosetown, and 82 are Central West subzone two, which includes Outlook, Kyle and Lucky Lake.
