Another increase in the number of people working in Saskatchewan.

According to the latest Labour Force Survey from Stats Canada, 16,900 more people were employed in the province in December 2008, compared to the same month a year ago.

It is a 3.4% increase, around seven times the national average of 0.5%.

The province also reports that wages were up 4% and the number of payroll jobs increased 2.8% over last year, both well above national averages.
