The fall sitting of the Legislature wrapped up recently.

Jim Reiter, MLA, said that there were some announcements that greatly affect the residents of West Central Saskatchewan. The largest single year income tax reductions in our provinces history, the largest dect reduction in Saskatchewan's history, and the largest amount of money going into infrastructure were some of these announcements.

One of the main topics of the sitting was that the world economy is in turmoil. Saskatchewan is weathering it better than everybody elso but is not immune to it.

Reiter's plate is full at the moment. He is preparing the property tax file, which he will have in to the minister by the end of January. He is also doing something for implementation in the budget.
