Great Plains College runs courses all year round, with applications currently being accepted for the next semester.

Region Manager for Great Plains College Fritz Eckstein spoke to West Central Online about course availability.

"We still have seats in all our programs, for example our power engineering program is filling up quickly, I anticipate in a short while we will have a wait list.  We also run a successful administrative assistant program that still has openings."

With many students from all over the province Eckstein called the year successful.

"It was a good year for us in light of student enrollment.  Apart from the ones that graduated, we see approximately 2,000 learners in our facility in Kindersley alone.  So we are very proud of the services we provide to learners."

Great Plains College was formed in 2008 during a merger with Cypress Hills Regional College and Prairie West College and provides certificate, diploma, and degree programs.

Eckstein also said the college focuses to align their programs with the labor markets that are in need in the Province.
