Around midnight on Wednesday, a truck travelling on Highway 7 between Kindersley and Rosetown caught on fire.

Constable Chretien with the Rosetown RCMP, explains that a mechanical failure caused the fire.  The driver, seeing the flames, drove to the edge of the road.

Chretien added that no one was hurt in the accident.

The truck was left on the side of the road because it was too hot to move and as of yesterday afternoon, it was still smoking at times.

They expect the truck to be moved sometime this weekend.
