MLA Jim ReiterJim Reiter, MLA for the Rosetown-Elrose area and Minister of Health, gave a statement on the provincial budget release.

Reiter says that their resource revenue has declined, which made for difficult decisions. Although difficult, they were important decisions to make to eliminate the $685 million deficit in a 3 year period. He believes the changes made will continue to keep Saskatchewan economy strong. 

The provincial budget was released on Wednesday, March 22nd, alongside the federal budget. Some of the more noticeable changes included raising PST from 5% to 6%, discontinuing STC, and cutting education expenses.
