The Kindersley Jr. Klippers got off to fast start in Friday night's game at Westland Arena in Yorkton. Jaydon Jessiman got his first in the SJHL driving the net, as it squirted through Caleb Allen to give the Klippers an early 1-0 lead. Kindersley doubled their lead on a powerplay goal by Ethan Scriven on a point shot by Logan Linklater which found its way through traffic and was tapped home.

Then just after a Logan Cyca penalty, he came out of the box and setup Clay Sleeva on a nice 2-on-1 to cut into the Klippers lead for his. Sleeva kept coming just after a penalty to to John Vanden Elzen expired towards the end of the period, as he found a loose puck on a scramble to tie the score with just 22 seconds to go.

The Terriers then got a goal by Jackson McDonnell, his first in the SJHL to take the lead, 3-2 halfway through the second. The third period started off great for the Klippers, as Logan Linklater, who has had countless chances on this road trip, finally capitalized on a nice setup on a 2-on-1 by Tylin Hilbig, as the old U15 AA West Central Wheat King teammates connected to tie the score.

Then on what could have the turning point for the game, Maddux Nollski absolutely cheap shotted Cash Arntsen with a blind side hit just inside the Kindersley blueline. Nollski was rightly given the heave ho, and the Klippers got a 5 minute man advantage. Kindersley could not capitalize, and the teams went into overtime for the second consecutive time.

The Klippers had their chances in overtime, as Jaydon Jessiman stole the puck from goaltender Allen in the corner and tried to setup Spencer Paplawski in the slot, but the pass just bounced over his stick. Just a few shifts later, the Terriers got a 2-on-1 break, and Dylan Ruptash took a shot which went off of Quintin Unreiner's shin pad into the net behind Cody Jaman, to give Yorkton the 4-3 overtime win.

Kindersley will continue it's season high five game road trip in Melville Saturday night. Game time for that one will be 7:00 pm, with the Murlin Electronics pregame show beginning at 6:45 pm.
