The Kindersley Jr. Klippers are finally off the snide, as they defeated the previously unbeaten Yorkton Terriers at the SJHL Showcase yesterday in Warman. Kindersley was outshot in the first period by a 16-11 margin, but goaltender Logan Falk, in his second start with the Jr. Klippers was sharp, not letting in a goal. The Jr. Klippers got a chance late, and buried it, as Cash Arnsten got his second of the season at 18:34, with the assists going to Cameron Rimstad and Kyler Smith, and that was the lone goal of the period.

The second saw Kindersley turn the tables, and outshoot Yorkton 18-5, but it was Terriers goaltender Tommy Bouchard who was sharp this time, and Yorkton tied the game late in the period, on a shorthanded goal from Karsten Kruska at 17:26 to even the score. That is the way things were headed into the third period.

An even third period saw tighter checking, as only six shots apiece were fired at both goaltenders, but it was Kindersley who got a powerplay late, and took the lead. Captain Brayden Koch got his first of the season at 15:37, with the assists going to Josh Morton and Camerson Rimstad. Yorkton tried to tie it late, but could not beat Falk, who made 26 saves on 27 shots for his first victory in the SJHL, making the final score 2-1 Kindersley.

The Jr. Klippers now have time to rest after playing three games in three days, as they will now be off until October 7 and 8, when they head to the Whitney Forum in Flin Flon, to battle the Bombers.

Head Coach and GM Ken Plaquin talked with the media after the Jr. Klippers first win of the season.
