Home ice for the Kindersley Jr. Klippers has shifted a bit, the team staying in their home rink, now set to play inside the 'Inter Pipeline Events Centre Arena' .

It was teased earlier in the week looking at the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League schedule, and the Town of Kindersley confirmed the news late Wednesday afternoon.

"It is with great excitement that the Town of Kindersley and Kindersley Jr. Klippers have joined forces to enter into a 10-year agreement with Inter Pipeline for the naming rights of the Event Centre Arena."

Home to a pair of ice surfaces, the side commonly referred to as the 'Event Centre Arena' will now be known as the Inter Pipeline Events Centre. The release notes "all games, tournaments and special events held at the West Central Events Centre in the Inter Pipeline Events Centre Arena will be labelled accordingly on information packages", and that with the announcement now making things official, a visual transition will begin shortly at the entrance to the rink.

The recently finalized process included a facility tour for representatives from Inter Pipeline Ltd. back on June 12. They were given a full tour and chance to view the layout of the Klippers home, nicknamed "The Hangar", in hopes of what's hopefully a successful decade of Klippers hockey.

"Inter Pipeline Ltd. members were very enthusiastic about the opportunity and all the promotional prospects that will be available to them to benefit the Jr. Klippers as well as the fans of the Kindersley Jr. Klippers."

The release also teased a "huge announcement" regarding the Jr. Klippers home opener on September 21. Klippers fans have enjoyed a busy off-season on the ice, and will now have even more to look forward to off of it.
