UPDATE: September 14, 2022

After a successful K-Town Toy Run back on September 10, Kelly Phinney shared how much the toy run raised for the West Central Crisis & Support Centre, and said the weather co-operated nicely, which was a bonus.

“It was a beautiful day, the weather cooperated with us. We had 25 bikes entered and 40 entries. Overall, we raised $3500 for the Crisis Centre and a pile of toys, so it was a really good day,” Phinney said. “I'd really like to thank everybody who came out and thank all of our sponsors.”

A special toy run is set to return to the West Central region, as the K-Town Toy Run will be held on September 10th. There is a $20 entry fee, plus a toy for each child. The registration begins at the Kindersley Inn (601- 11th Ave East), at 11:00 am, with kickstands up at 1:00 pm.

Everyone is welcome, and all makes and models of motorcycles as well. Kelly Phinney, with the help of Joan Finney, came to the Country 104 and Classic Hits Radio studios to discuss the K-Town Toy Run.

"It's a good time for all of us bikers to get together and support a good cause. We are raising toys and money for the West Central Crisis & Support Centre, it's our chance to give back to the community."

The Toy Run is something that will brighten a child's day, Phinney explained.

"The toys are a good thing for young kids who have been through bad times in their lives. A small little thing like a toy might make a huge difference in their world."
