It was nothing but smiling faces at the Kerrobert Memorial Arena this past Saturday as the KDL U15 Tigers celebrated their Provincial D win against Shaunavon on home ice:

West Central Online caught up with Tigers assistant coach Ryan Dobrosky following the team's victory on the weekend. Consisting of players from Kerrobert, Dodsland, and Luseland, the team is right back on the ice tonight in Eston for their last series of the postseason in the Hi-Way 14 Hockey League Finals.

Puck drop for Game 1 goes at 7:00 PM tonight in Eston. Winning league would mean a pair of new pieces of art for the Kerrobert Memorial Arena.

"Hopefully our boys can come out with the victory, and two banners throughout the year to cap off a great season."

Kerrobert and Eston were the top two teams in the league this season. After playing a tough Shaunavon team, they will have to prepare for another hard fought series if they want to accomplish a second postseason circuit win.

Going back to provincials with his impressive Tigers team, Dobrosky tried his best to explain the moment.

"It was a very exciting experience for them, yes," said the coach, who wasn't short on feelings himself, "It's a pretty proud moment to witness and be a part of something like that for sure."

Dobrosky, along with head coach Kurt Neumeier and fellow assistant Gary Phillips will only have one more game left behind the bench this season after Wednesday night.

After going undefeated in provincials, the team will look to replicate that feat in league play with two big wins to close out the season.
