Some high-energy curling went down this past weekend at the Swift Current Curling Club.

The IG Wealth Management Showdown would see 24 teams facing off during the three-day Thanksgiving weekend event. Teams from Canada, including big names like Brad Jacobs, eventual tournament winner Kevin Koe and current Briar winner Brendan Bottcher would be joined by a handful of international squads from Japan, Korea and the United States in the round-robin event.

Team Bottcher would also bring the Brier trophy with them, where it would remain on display in the Hockey Hall of Fame for the weekend for spectators and fans to get photos of.

Jacobs and Koe would both make it to Monday's final.

Koe, with John Morris at third and B.J. Neufeld and Ben Hebert in the front, would take home the 8-1 victory in six ends, securing a $14,000 first place cheque.

Koe would finish the tournament 5-2.
