A majority of the Town of Kindersley was without power yesterday afternoon, due to a gas leak near the 100 block of 5th and 6th avenue east.

Kindersley Fire was on scene blocking off the affected area.

SaskPower announced at 6:22 pm that repairs were completed and power restored.

West Central Online will have more on how the gas leak happened, as soon as it becomes available. 

3rd Update:

Power is restored in the Town of Kindersley.

2nd Update:

The restoration time has been pushed back until 5:30 pm.

UPDATE: Restoration time is estimated to be at approximately 4:00 pm.

Efforts are being made to restore power to areas of Kindersley. The cause of the power outage is due to a gas leak. At this time residents in Kindersley are being asked to please avoid the area of 100 block of 5th and 6th Avenue East. Kindersley Fire Department are currently on scene. More details to follow.
