The Kindersley Sr. Klippers finished off their regular season in a closely contested, back and forth game this past weekend at the WCEC. Kindersley was up against the Edam 3 Stars and looked to avenge a 8-3 loss to the Stars on December 14 in Edam.

The Klippers fell behind 1-0 on a goal by leading scorer Braden Oleksyn at the 13 minute mark of the first period with the assist going to captain Mitch Wall and that's the way the period ended. Kindersley battled back to tie on a goal by Damon McKenzie early in the third and took the lead on goal by Brandon Cummings at the 16:12 mark to make the score 2-1 Kindersley.

Edam got 2 goals of their own by Marc LaClare and Joel Blaqueire with just four seconds left, to take a 3-2 lead into the third period.  Damon McKenzie tied it for the Klippers at the 14:40 mark and Jessey Pocock got the winner with just over 8 minutes left and Kindersley held on to the 4-3 win.

The Klippers ended the regular season with a 15-3 record, which is 2nd behind Wilkie for the number 1 spot and will wait to play the number 7 team in the playoffs.
