The Kindersley Klippers Junior A hockey team opened a seven game home stand Friday evening when they welcomed the Notre Dame Hounds.

The game was evenly matched for the first two periods with both teams trading goals and penalties.

The 3rd period saw the Klippers score four goals to take the game 6-3. Austine Calladine had a goal and two assists for Kindersley while Nathan Hargrave made 36 saves for the victory.

Through the game there were a total of 18 minor penalties handed out along with one fighting major. Each team had nine penalties.

The home stand continues this evening when the Klippers welcome Nipawin. Puck drop is at 7:30 in the west central events centre.
