A 61 year-old man from Lashburn will be appearing in provincial court in late February after being charged with 7 counts of theft over $5000.

The man was arrested after a lengthy investigation by the North Battleford Provincial General Investigation Section, in conjunction with the Maidstone RCMP Detachment and other detachments. The investigation looked into a series of large scale Crude Oil thefts in the Maidstone, Lloydminster, Cutnknife and Kitscoty, Alberta areas over the course of several months.

The man was arrested on January 19th, 2016 by police and subsequently charged with 7 counts of Theft Over $5000, contrary to Section 334 Criminal Code.

He is scheduled for his first appearance in court on February 23, 2016, at 10:00 a.m., in Lloydminster Provincial Court.
