Leader RCMP have received several calls of a fraudulent phone scam that has hit the area.

An automated message claims to be coming from the Sandhills Credit Union Security Department. The caller is told their credit card may be comprismised and then are asked to enter their 16 digit credit cart number.

This call is a scam and no way associated or authorized by the Credit Union. RCMP warn not to give your credit card number out on the phone. If you do your account may be comprimised. Several different numbers are being used, and callers should attempt to record the caller ID number and report it to the RCMP. If you have already provided your credit card number contact your local bank during business hours
