The Lions Soccer Club came together on Saturday in the gymnasium of Walter Aseltine school to bring their slick game to the annual playoff windups.

Hugh Lees, director of the Lions Soccer Club, says the opportunity for children to get in to similar age groups and engage in the stirring sport is one of the best things for kids when it comes to team building and participation.

The Lions soccer club starts in January and ends its season in March, with the children playing and participating in a total of 9 games on Tuesday nights after school.

This year approximately 100 children participated in the Lions program, which has been going on strong for three decades.

The Club is divided in to two sections: grades 1-3 (ages 6-9) and grades 4-6 (ages 9-11).

The two teams which finished first in the club schedule both won their tournaments on Saturday.
