Some special talent is set to hit the West Central region. Michael Charles, who is a nine time Grammy award elected artist, and in the Chicago Blues Hall of Fame, will be heading to Eston for a free cover charge concert May 5.
Charles was born in Melbourne, Australia and moved to Chicago where he still resides today, recording singles when he is not on the road.
The free concert will be held at the Jug Bar and Grill at 10:00 pm, and West Central Online's Chris Omness talked to Blues legend, who has been doing the free concerts in Canada, the United States and his home country of Australia for many years now.
At this time Charles is traveling his sixteenth consecutive international tour “NO DETOURS” 2023, which will once again take him to the far corners of the USA, Canada, and Australia. The 2023 tour promises a multitude of concerts and publicity appearances as MC performs a whole new list of cities, festivals, and music venues and revisits some favorites from the last fifteen tours.
