Madison native Kyle Wiebe was competing at Algonquin Golf Resort in St. Andrews, N.B. this week, taking part in the Canadian Men’s Mid-Amateur Championship.

Wiebe's tournament ended early after he did not make the cut. Things started out well in Round 1 as Wiebe shot an impressive 70, leaving himself tied for fifth place. Round 2 wasn't nearly as good for Wiebe as he was 17 strokes over his day one round in carding an 87 in Round 2.

The impressive golfer took high finishes in both the Sask. Amateur Men's Championship and Sask. Mid-Amateur Men's Championship, leading him to the national ranks where he helped represent Saskatchewan out east this past week.
