A local girl will be keeping her hockey career going into the collegiate level. 17-year-old Plenty native Laiken Swan will be joining the Lakeland College Rustlers hockey program, and will be enrolling in the school's business program with hopes of a career in accounting or real estate. Swan's commitment was announced on Christmas Eve, following a visit to the school.
