Week 2 of local high school football was high scoring as usual.

The Kindersley Kobras and Eatonia Spartans finished their game 63-28 as Kindersley pulled away, and the Biggar Blazers defeated LCBI 64-0 in the first action of the season for the Bisons. No score was available for both Macklin and Plenty who were on the road in Hafford and Big River respectively.

Eatonia footballThe sun was out Friday afternoon in Eatonia making it a beautiful day for football

(All kickoffs at 4:00 PM unless otherwise specified)

Looking at this week, a rematch under-the-lights between the Kerrobert Rebels and Plenty Wildcats headlines things after the two teams opened their season against each other back on September 7. That game finished with a score of 56-36 for the hometown Wildcats, as this time the Rebels will be on their home field looking for a rebound. Kickoff for that game goes at 8:00 PM on Friday.

The Rosetown Royals are coming off a bye-week, and are set to host the Kindersley Kobras in a special 2:00 game. Both teams have a mark in the win column to start the season as the action behind Rosetown Central High School this Friday should be electric.

Another heavyweight matchup will be taking place Friday when Unity heads to Biggar for a 4:00 PM kickoff. The Unity Warriors haven't played since their 46-7 opening week win against Kindersley, and will be taking on a Biggar team that hasn't allowed a point in their two games played.

Each matchup looks like a good one. Follow along yourself through the SHSAA website.
